Individual Psychotherapy (for Adults and Adolescents)

One-to-one sessions, of 50 - minute duration, usually on a weekly basis. Individual psychotherapy facilitates personal development and promotes better coping strategies for the individual’s difficulties.

Couple's Therapy

Sessions where both members of the couple and the therapist participate, usually of one hour duration, on a weekly basis. In couple's therapy, the therapist provides a context of understanding and trust and facilitates the couple's communication and problem-solving skills. The ultimate goal is for the couple to receive greater satisfaction from the marital relationship.

Parent Counselling and Family Therapy

Parent counselling usually entails sessions of 60-minute duration, where one or both members of the couple participate. The aim is for parents to develop better coping strategies in response to particular difficulties that they experience with their child / children.

In Family Therapy, the whole family participates (parents, children and possibly other significant family members) and their interaction is examined. The aim is for the family to develop better communication skills and coping strategies as a whole.

Group Therapy

Group Therapy (usually between 6-12 members) aims at the group’s interaction in the “here and now” giving the opportunity to explore in a safe context, the individual’s self (intra-psychic level), the individual’s relationship with the other members (inter-personal level) and the individual’s relationship with the group as a whole (group as a whole level).

Insight Sessions

Insight Sessions are open – ended psychotherapy sessions of one hour duration that can be used to provide a deeper insight on the individual’s needs, personality, patterns of relating and behavior. Insight sessions are not necessarily addressed to people who suffer from mental health issues.
