Individual Psychotherapy (for Adults and Adolescents)

One-to-one sessions, of 50 - minute duration, usually on a weekly basis. People who seek individual psychotherapy often experience:

  • Specific difficult experiences
  • Past or current trauma experiences
  • Chronic disorders or disabilities that the individual or his significant others suffer from
  • Anxieties, Stress, Panic Attacks, persistent negative thoughts
  • Depression or Sadness
  • Loneliness or Emptiness
  • Anger, Envy
  • Grief
  • Phobias, Obsessions, Compulsions
  • Low self-esteem
  • Conflicting feelings
  • Confounding or offending behavior
  • Difficulty in forming and maintaining satisfactory interpersonal relations, Intimacy Problems
  • Difficulties in decision-making and goal implementation
  • Physical symptoms that have a psychological substrate
  • Addictions
  • Problems related to sleep, food or sexuality

All of the above can be discussed and processed in individual psychotherapy. Individual psychotherapy facilitates personal growth and promotes better coping strategies. The therapeutic relationship can provide a secure base for the client, from which he can substantially explore himself and ultimately experiment with new, more satisfying ways of dealing with his issues.
